Privacy & Messaging Terms
Last updated 18 September 2026. WiCare is operated by JM IT INC (“WiCare”, “we”), Kissimmee, Florida, USA. Questions: support@wicare.app or 1 (833) 962‑5525.
In short. WiCare helps an older adult and the family they choose keep up with daily routines. We collect only what the service needs, we never sell personal information, and text-message opt‑in data is never shared with third parties for marketing. WiCare is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency response. In an emergency, call 911.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to the WiCare mobile app, the family dashboard, the wicare.app website, and the WiCare help line and text-message service at 1 (833) 962‑5525.
2. Information we collect
- Account & profile — name, email, phone number, preferred language, and the role a person holds (resident, family member, or caregiver).
- Care information the resident enters or grants — medications, appointments, reminders, wellness check-ins, and emergency contacts.
- Care-circle permissions — exactly which areas a resident has chosen to share, and with whom.
- Usage & device basics — the pages and features used, and standard technical data needed to run the service securely.
- Messages — the content of texts and calls to or from the WiCare help line, so the assistant and, when needed, a person can respond.
3. How we use it
- To run the assistant: reminders, the daily plan, wellness check-ins, and answering questions.
- To send emergency (SOS) alerts to the contacts a resident has chosen.
- To let the family see only the areas the resident has granted.
- To provide customer support and keep the service secure and working.
4. The resident is in control
WiCare’s care circle is permission by permission, enforced in our database, not just hidden in the interface. A resident can change or withdraw any permission at any time, and can ask us to delete their account and data by emailing support@wicare.app.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with (a) the people a resident adds to their care circle, in the scope they grant; and (b) service providers who help us operate WiCare (for example, cloud hosting and the telephone/SMS carrier), under contracts that limit them to that purpose. Mobile opt‑in and phone numbers are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
6. Text message (SMS) terms
What we send
If you opt in, WiCare sends account and care notifications to your mobile phone: medication and appointment reminders, wellness check-in prompts, emergency (SOS) alerts for the contacts a resident has chosen, and replies from WiCare support. This is not a marketing or promotional program.
How you opt in
- Residents turn on text reminders during first-time setup in the WiCare app, by agreeing to a clearly labeled consent step.
- Emergency contacts are added by the resident, who confirms they have permission to include that person; those contacts receive SOS alert texts.
- Anyone may text the WiCare number first (for example, “HELP” or a question) and will receive a reply.
Message frequency & cost
Message frequency varies with your reminders and activity (for example, reminders arrive when they are scheduled). Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out and help
Text STOP to 1 (833) 962‑5525 at any time to stop messages; you will receive one confirmation and no further texts. Text HELP for help, or contact support@wicare.app or 1 (833) 962‑5525.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
7. Security & retention
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, and permission checks enforced in the database. We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service or as the law requires, and delete it on request where we are able.
8. Children
WiCare is for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; we will change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
